1-10 Strength:
I find myself that the best choice is rats inside lumbridge castle, just because this goes so quickly and you don't have to walk anywhere. Other choices would be Chickens northeast of Lumbridge, or chickens south of Falador. You should always start with an iron scimitar. Always pick up feathers, and please realize bones are 188gp ea on the G E currently... you decide if it's worth banking.
1-10 Attack:
Now that you have some strength, bring a steel and black scimitar to your chicken training grounds, and motor along through 1-5, switching to steel scimitars, and 5-10, switching to black scimitars. An Amulet of Strength will help you K0 the chickens, and by the time you can use your black scimitar, you will be ready for the next step. Feathers 15gp, bones 188gp ea currently.
10-40 Strength:
I know, you're thinking "ZZzzzz...." but honestly it's Runescape, you will always be doing repetitive tasks. This step will require some armour, as even with a high hp, str, and attack, you will still sometimes die. Cows go moo, and that's enough for me, time to die! Northeast of Lumbridge, or south of Falador once again! Pick up the cowhides after every kill, as the are around 250gp ea, making for a 7k load each trip. Not much, but the amount of trips from 10-40, you will make a very decent amount of money! Now your black scimitar is going to be pretty warn by the end of this task, but don't worry, it's doing you well isn't it? May as well keep going!
40-60 Strength:
For F2P individuals, here is where times are going to drag on. You will be forced to train on creatures with very low HP, but at least they have low defence too. You can continue on cows, but I would suggest something that doesn't require banking, such as minotaurs, only banking for food, and don't hesitate to pick up any items of value. These guys are located in the Stronghold of Security, West of Varrock, in the heart of the Barbarian Village. Just climb down the hole, enter the first room (south), then to an eastern room for the grey bull-men. Very tedious, but it will do!
For P2P individuals (good choice, btw!) You now should venture to the far lands of Relleka! I suggest a Camelot Teleport purchased off the Grand Exchange because, darling, that's a far walk! On the northern shores of Relleka there lies a creature with such high hitpoints, such low defence, such low maxes, why on earth would anyone pass them up? Rock Crabs have 530hp, I believe, and max around 13 on you... Well You should have 30 constitution or more by now, so let's enjoy eating a nice piece of trout while rocketing through the first ten levels! At 50 strength things start to slow down, but you're well on your way to your pure!
I would suggest before this point that you only Player Kill for practice, finding out how much fun it is, if your account is measuring up, and the odd challenge. In other words, I don't think you will be that pwnage against a ranger with 45 rng, addy arrows, green dhide, and a low cb lvl. You're gonna need a lot of food and pots, and well if you seem to be successful, Pking is quite the exciting fast training method itself! Don't waste too much money though, you're gonna need it!
F2P:
10-40 Attack:
Well now that you're at 60 strength, these levels are going to go by quicker than the Flash when you're walking backwards! I have 180 exp til lvl 11 att myself... isn't that less than one rock crab?! =[)!!! Well since you can't have rock crabs, I would suggest the illustrious mooers of eastern Lumbridge once again. You don't have to bank, but should be able to one hit these beasts, no problem! Bring a Mithril scimitar, and just keep pounding their horns in until 20 attack, then switch out your scimitars and keep going! 30 attack will be coming quicker and quicker, but after an adamant scimitar, you really will be bored of seeing the possible max of "80". Hmmm, we need a stronger foe! Trade one cow's head for another! Those darn minotaurs have been breeding while you were stopping the surge of cow babies, so let's get back down to the stronghold of security! Bring a Rune Scimitar, and food, cuz these guys will make you work for your experience. After 40 attack, switch out your adamant scimitar, and voila!
60+ Strength:
Now that your F2P character has access to rune weapons, why not try your hand at pking again? You will be on par with most other pkers your level, but I kinda like standing out, so why not keep training on hill giants? With a max hit of 140, training strength will seem to come much faster now than with that piece of black metal (what is it made of anyway?), potted and str ammy, you will likely find yourself hitting close to 160s and that's before you continue the strength training! Now, unless you find that the enemy players are more and more often using rune armor, I would suggest never leveling attack again. Plainly, you have your best weapon, most pures have one defence, and you want your max as high as possible. now a 99 is a little out of reach for a F2P, and would take ages, for sure, but make friends, be nice, and fair, and get yourselves a bunch of corrupts for your bank account!
P2P:
60-70 Strength:
Well at this time in your character's life, he is able to use the weapon Tzhaar-ket-om, more commonly known as the Obby Maul. If you would like to stay a super-low combat level, and continue raising strength, then this is the way to go! Continue on rock crabs, or try your hand at PvP, make sure you look out for specs though, there will be a lot of magic shortbows and starting to get into darkbow pures. You should be unmatched in highest hitter, and your ten attack (if you chose to get it) will help you hit a bit more often.
10-40 Attack:
Let's be real here, 10 attack sucks. It's good for keeping your cb lvl down, but how many times can you see a blue 0 on your screen before you run into the busy traffic outside your house? (Please do not commit suicide, it is about to get a lot better!) With your crazy high hits and obby maul, this task should be a very small step in your journey to a great pure. I would suggest not pvping again until you have 40 attack, now able to use brine sabre/obby maul mix. Rock Crabs are a pure's best friend.
70-85 Strength:
It is necessary for a melee pure to make sure you have the highest hits. Even if you can't hit all the time, you must make sure that every hit counts, and keep your enemy eating! going back to F2P PvP is a wise choice as the highest food is now swordfish, healing 14hp. Well with a rune scimitar at lvl 70 str, with an Amulet of Power, it should be quite simple to max a person into a frantic eating streak. Now throw in the odd 2h kick-butt attack, you can continually scare the opponent, and quite honestly, they will get nervous, and most people sweat when they're nervous, and well... who can say they are at their best when they are all sweaty? 85 strength is going to be a long journey, but well worth it, and you should be a very experienced Player Killer by the end.
40-50 Attack:
Yes it's that time again. Yay for fast levels, likely taking one, maybe two days to get these ten levels down. A rune scimitar at the rock crabs for the quickest results, and now you have... 50 attack! Granite Maul unlocked!!! This is the first useful member's item you will use, and now it's back to the learning circle. You haven't mastered P2P pking yet, but with this weapon you now have 85 strength, boosted with items and potion, and now tripled with the special attack! A max, half max, max, will be devastating for any player when your hits total to 800+. My main is no hero, but at lvl 96 he only has 76 hp... whoa full hp to nothing?!?!
85-99 Strength:
Well now you can have fun training slayer, skilling, and pvping your way to 99 strength, always making sure you keep your practice up, and never risk more than you can afford to lose!
Side goals:
60 Attack: With 60 attack comes dragon weapons, very useful for the dds spec, or dragon scimitar, which is the preferred strength training weapon.
70 Attack: Saradomin Sword, Abyssal Whip... both of which are expensive, but hey, the spec on the SS is quite handy, and the whip is just a sick weapon, and only one-handed.
75 Attack: Godsword time; pick your weapon, but jeepers can they be expensive!
99 Attack: Along the way you will enjoy hitting more and more often, I love minigames and everything where you can just show off how lame everyone is when you own them before they have a chance to retaliate.
